Last summer, Glasgow’s Ace City Racers teamed up with Danny Saunders from the band Correcto as part of the National Galleries, Generation – a Culture 2014 initiative. This resulted in the recording of two tracks, Different Angle and Wilko, an appealing blend of indie rock with a punky edge.On Monday [February 16], the double A-side 7” was released on Cargo and Do Yourself In Records, with the download coming out simultaneously. It is due to be followed later in the year by an album produced by Sam Smith, frontman with critically acclaimed Glasgow band, Casual Sex In the meantime, Ace City Racers are planning a secret gig in Glasgow on Friday [27 February] for those who buy their single.
